Photoshop wont allow me to automate PDF presentation

Thanks for the additional information. The fact that splitting the job into two smaller PDFs allows it to be completed is useful, but I'd like to understand why the full 20-page job is failing.

Please share the following so we can try to reproduce the same workflow on our end.

• In Photoshop, go to Help > System Info > Copy, then paste the complete information here.

• Please share the PSD containing the artboards that reproduce the problem. If you can’t share the production file, a simplified copy that still reproduces the issue would work as well. You can send me a download link via DM using Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, or a similar service.

• Please share screenshots of the settings you’re using in File > Automate > PDF Presentation, including the Save Adobe PDF settings that appear afterward.

• What are the pixel dimensions/resolution, color mode, and bit depth of the artboards (for example, 300 ppi, RGB, 8-bit)?

• Are you saving the resulting PDF to a local drive, external drive, network location, or a cloud-synced folder such as OneDrive/Dropbox?

• Do any of the artboard/file names contain special characters or non-English characters?
  
  

Once we have the sample PSD and your exact PDF settings, we can follow the same workflow and see if we can reproduce the failure.

I'm glad it's not just me (I am NOT a technical person...I just draw stuff). I put together an illustrated book in Affinity Publisher (I don't have ID), but couldn't save out as a PDF at an uploadable size (it was exporting at several gigs). I saved the manuscript out as TIFFs, then used the PDF presentation function in Photoshop. It worked several times, including earlier today after I made some alterations to the original document and went throught the process again. Now I'm getting the same errors as the original poster here, and I don't know what has changed to cause it. I've relaunched, PS, rebooted, tried a few different options in the creation process, but it keeps failing. Saying it's inconvenient or a time-waster is very much an understatement. This is why my wife (who works in IT but not with software) won't let me keep a hammer anywhere near my studio...

Hi! Thank you so much. It's bizarre, but this was the solution. Saving it onto another storage drive did not throw that series of error messages, and successfully generated the multi-page PDF that I needed.

For anyone else experiencing the same issue, try this solution out!
