Photoshop wont recognize my pen is there after I lift it

Hey guys, ive got a wacom 1 tablet and pen, worked for years but now whenever im in photoshop, put my pen down, draw and then lift my pen, photoshop will not register that my pen is there at all. I have completely updated app and drivers, im on windows, and my tablet works perfectly fine on all other apps on my pc. ive tried reseting preferences on photoshop and fiddling around with turning off and on my windows ink. Please help me out and find out what is making photoshop act weird on me.
