Question

Photoshop workflow tips for consistent AI results?

Hi everyone 👋

I’m trying to understand something in Photoshop and would love your insights.

When working with images (especially using Generative Fill / AI tools), what’s your usual workflow to keep results consistent and avoid unexpected outputs?

I’ve noticed that small changes in prompts, selections, or layer structure can sometimes lead to very different results, and I’m curious how experienced users manage:

  • consistency in edits

  • control over AI-generated variations

  • and maintaining overall project quality

Are there any best practices, techniques, or hidden tips you rely on when working with Photoshop in real projects?

Would really appreciate your experience

You need to be more specific.  Which tools do you use, and how do you use them?  It’s certainly not always predictable, and some models work better than others in certain situations.  If you can give us an idea of what you are doing then we might be able to help.

I can’t really speak from experience, however, this is expected and how generative models work, I’d look at using a reference image to help anchor the output in addition to the carefully worded prompt.
