Photshop 27.7 not working on macOS Ventura

this version makes Photoshop not work on Ventura anymore. At least mark it as “not compatible” instead of making me download an app that just refuses to boot

    Hi @cristiano_8203 @johns64062309

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I am afraid that Photoshop 27.x requires macOS v26 or v15. x, and v14. x.

You can find the complete system requirements here: ttps://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/desktop/get-started/technical-requirements-installation/adobe-photoshop-on-desktop-technical-requirements.html

You may be able to install an earlier version of Photoshop through the Creative Cloud desktop app. Instructions are available here: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/apps/download-install-apps/creative-cloud-apps/install-previous-versions-creative-cloud-apps.html

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

When I was running older macOS the Creative Cloud app, marked the latest Photoshop as incompatible and would not update. Thus, I kinda presumed its this way for everyone.

    I hope this helps

Adobe offers only the current version plus one previous version. Right now that’s PS 2026 and 2025.

Hi jane-e,  following your comment I have now found the list of previous releases of PS. The top of the list is Release 26.6 which does install but provides a warning that the computer may not be able to make full use of the program.  I am quite happy to accept that as the replacement Mac that I want is not likely to deliver in the UK until August 2026 at the earliest

I sympathize.  I had the same issue just over a year ago and had to use an older version until I could get my new Mac.

Thanks, Srishtri,   I have now located and downloaded Release 26.6 which will work within some limitations.

Having installed v 27.7 on an old iMac and finding it unworkable as cristiano_8023 indicates, how do I get back tp the previous version on which the legacy system? Unlike the latest version of Lightroom, there appears to be no list of previous versions to fall back on
