Pixelate-crystalize nightmare

hi there

So I am trying to use the pixelate-crystalize and it says I don't have enough RAM. The problem is I do have enough RAM and yesterday Adobe updated drivers and it worked and today it wont.

Any thoughts?

Ah that explains it. From your post I thought you meant that the software had automatically updated your drivers - not that you been in contact with Adobe support.

I don't see anything bad in your system info. Did have you tried resetting your preferences as advised by c.pfaffenbichler?

The size of the image does make a difference. There is a world of difference between running a filter on a 1000x1000 pixel layer and a 30000 x 30000 pixel layer. In fact here (with 64GB RAM) the crystallise filter works fine with 16500x16500 pixels but shows the error message with 17000 x 17000pixels.

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Adobe doesn't update your system drivers. Your operating system can do that. As Trevor said post your system info and we may see what is happening.

Also post some info on the pixel size of the document that you are trying to use the filter on.

firstly Adobe did update my driver, I was here watching them do it. He said it is the most important part of Photoshop issues.

Anyway the size of the image matters? Everything else works except that.
