Placed images keep snapping back to origin point.

Yet another bug with the update to Photoshop 2020. I'm placing an image and it keeps snapping back to the placement origin point during resize or move. This is incredibly frustrating. Any ideas?

Hey, I'm having the same problem here. At first I thought that the problem was my old macbook. But now I understand that it's a software issue. It really does make you work slower which ruins the creative flow. I don't know when/how it happens but it's just annoying. Hopefully will be solved real soon. Thank you.

I had the same issue when I installed the most recent update to Photoshop today. Felt like a snapping" setting issue, someone alluded to a similar fix on here. Looks like it automatically checks "snap to layer" after the update for some reason. View > Snap to > Layers fixed it for me.

I have the same problem with the June update.

I work with mouse and Wacom. If I use the mouse to slide the image around, it snaps to the left edge or some seemingly random distance left when I let go of the mouse button.

Using the Wacom all works as I expect.

The sliders at image edges work ok. But, I only remember to use those after PS has messed up.

Restarting PS seems to work to correct the mouse problem.

Same annoying issue..
Can you guys imagine how it feels like? You come with "look at our new amazing Sensei AI stuff" and you can not even MOVE a layer normally? Can you think about it a little?

Last version of MacOS 10.15.5 (19F101) , last version of Photoshop 21.2.0, not extention, only using the Apple's mouse and keyboard. Can't be more up to date and normal than that.

I'm able to "unbug" it with a zoom in/out, sometimes. And the first action cmd-space + click for zoom-in, doesn't even work. It needs a second click to actually wake up, zoom-in and then the move bug is fixed, for a short moment.

I'm more and more afraid to work using Adobe's softwares. Everything seems so fragile, and it's very dangerous as profesionnals.
grrr

Struggled with this for months and finally figured out a workaround. If it's just an image that does that, then reset all tools. If it's a folder with a bunch of layers, turn it into a smart object. I think it's a huge bug because I didn't have this problem before cc2020 update.

Having same issues, using a 2011 Imac 27" with High Sierra with latest updates from Apple. Photoshop has been jumping and snapping back for about 12 months and just recently getting worse. Tried varoius things such as reducing images sizes and moving left instead of right, which kinda of works, however a bit mickey mouse and not what I signed up for. Has Adobe gone to sleep? Wakey wakey please 🙂

Curiously I have disabled all boxes in the Interface on Preferences, shut CS5 down and re started. No jumping or snapping back...

Same issue here. It seems to be worst with large folders being moved.
