This is what was happening.

So I contacted a tutorial creator (not the original creator of the vid) but a different one (@tutvid) who helped me diagnose the problem and now I feel a bit silly. But I'm newish to this still. The posterize needed to work with B/W and I had black set properly but white was set at fefffe instead of fffff which was enough of an issue to cause the strange green glow.

This is the video I was watching: Paper Cut Out Effect | Adobe Illustrator Tutorial - YouTube

(While that vid is technically for illustrator, the problem was occurring with thee photoshop part of the tutorial)

Thank you for you answers!

Hi!

Please upload a screenshot of your image so we can see what the best option is to help you. There are several ways you can fix a color cast, but we need to see if it's an overall cast, or if it's just green in the highlights or shadows. One quick way to get rid of an overall green cast to your image is to use a Levels Adjustment Layer. From the Layers panel, select the Levels Adjustment Icon

Then from the RGB drop down menu, choose Green to adjust the green cast in the image. If you move the middle slider over to the right you will be minimizing the green by adding more magenta.

This is a simple way to remove a green cast in your image. If this doesn't fix your issue, then please upload the screenshot so we can give you a better option.

Thanks,

Michelle
