Print dialogue box does not retain custom preset

Hi there. MAC OS 15.5. Photoshop 2025. When I make changes to the Print Settings through the Print Dialogue box  (such as Color: Advanced B and W, Max optical Density, Tone: darkest) none of those changes seem to be retianed when I close the window by clicking the Save button. Additonally, If I make changes and create a preset, none of those changes I made are retained the next time I load the preset and check the settings.

Anyone else have this problem?

Correct answer lwmsmd

Version 26.9.0 Photoshop. I uninstalled PS then reinstalled and restarted and for now, the prnt dialogue box seems to be behaving as expected. If this recurs I will respond to this with more  detail. The printer is Epson SC-P900 with latest software (frequent automatic updates). Thanks for responding.

Hi @lwmsmd,

Thanks for reaching out! To help us narrow this down, could you share a few details?

  • Photoshop version ( from Photoshop > About Photoshop)

  • Printer model and driver version

  • Exact steps of your workflow or a short screen recording showing the behavior.

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,
