Printing transparent background help

I just installed the latest photoshop 2020 version.

In my 2015 version of photoshop I had the option to save as PDF and PNG....strangely they do not appear on my new version. 

When I design an invitation through photoshop and click print from the file option in photoshop

how do I stop a background colour printing onto my white paper?

I delete the background colour so Im left with just the image and text only (so just a transparent background) , however a faint off white keeps printing behind the images and text over my white paper.

If I had the option to save as PDF I would just print from that, but I dont have that option on latest photoshop version. In my printing box I have the option to save as PDF from a dropdown box but it doesnt save.

Just for process of elimination, double-check that your document is or isn't in a 32-Bit format. There a number of selections and features that will alter the Save As function. You should still have the ability to use PNG via EXPORT > SAVE FOR WEB (LEGACY) and then select PNG. To check if you are in 32-Bit, go to IMAGE MODE. If 32-bit is selected here, switch it to 16-Bit or 8-Bit. Some extensions and plugins have been known to alter it as well. If everything checks out, you might want to use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to completely Uninstall and Re-Install the application. If none of this helps, there are other possible conflicts. Good Luck!

Thanks for your reply,

 

I just checked over the Image/Mode settings and it was strangely set to CMYK colour mode so I changed it to RGB and the background colour has now gone. I can now save in PNG again if I need to.
