Question

Prints on coated paper are flooded— too much ink.

Paper selection function seems to print in ordinary absorbent computer paper, even though I select Premium Luster.  When I open the print dialog box again it’s at ordinary computer paper. I'm using PS 2026 on an Epson ET-8500 with a Mac Studio (OS Tahoe). Have tried restart on all items.

This just started today. Previously things were working fine.

Thanks, all  Here is some more information—   I placed my .jpg image on a page of InDesign 2026 and printed from there. It came out well . . . no ink flooding, just as it had done with Photoshop this morning.

So the issue must lie in the Photoshop app I’m using. Perhaps I should discard it and download a fresh one. With InDesign, I selected Luster paper (closest to the Satin finish I’m using), and it didn’t revert to ordinary copy/computer paper with its appetite for ink.

Did you change the Print properties and Save the document?

Yes. I tried it with different paper finishes.

Did the print properties stick after saving the document?

rachel, I’m still getting used to printing on my ET-8550. So I can imagine how frustrating this can be.

Assuming: 1) the right paper, in 2) the right place, and 3) the right settings

...is there any chance you pulled my trick -- paper loaded upside-down?
