Problem Editing Page From Acrobat Files in Photoshop

For the past year I have been editing pages from Acrobat Files in Photoshop by selecting 'Edit PDF' and then right clicking the page in question and selecting 'Edit Using > Photoshop '.

All was fine until last week when random pages generated an error message in Photoshop saying "Could not open document.pdf  because a colour was specified using an unsupported colour space".

Both apps have the same colour space set and are updated to the latest versions and I'm on Win 11.

Any clues please?

Without having access to the PDF, or seeing screenshots from the Object Inspector in Acrobat Pro (Print Production Tools), or seeing Preflight info it’s hard to comment. PDF files support colour modes which are not applicable to Photoshop, such as indexed CMYK. Photoshop isn’t a general purpose PDF editor.

You might need to rasterize the page in question in Photoshop and save it as a separate Photoshop PDF, then use Acrobat Pro to replace the page in question.

Hey, @AHB-RAF1918. Thanks for bringing this up. We're here to help. I'll need specific info to help you figure this out. Does this happen with a specific set of PDF documents? Does the same document open normally when opened via Photoshop, instead of using Acrobat's 'Edit-in' function?

In Photoshop, go to Edit > Color Settings > enable the 3 Color Management Policies in this panel and restart Photoshop.

    Thanks!
