I have a problem regarding the size of the brush in photoshop and it is that when I want to increase its size it only increases its size a little when I need it larger to apply a light effect in this image. Could someone tell me why this happens and if there is a solution?

Correct answer Kevin Stohlmeyer

You are at the maximum brush size of 5000 px. That is as big as brushes will go in Photoshop.

Agree with @Kevin Stohlmeyer re the max brush size. Also, though, brushes are made at their optimum size for carity and definition. Enlarging them doesn't usually give a good result; having said that, though, a brush like the one in your example, whose edges are already softened, would show this less.

You are at the maximum brush size of 5000 px. You can't go any larger.

In cases like this you can create a transparent layer with the effect as a smart object and enlarge the shape as an object, not a brush stroke.
