Problem with displacement maps

Hello everyone, I'm having problems making the displacement map effect, I do all the processes and even so, when I apply the effect, only the dialog box to convert into a smart object appears, and after that nothing happens, the map box doesn't appear of distortion and I can't even change the smart filter, can anyone help me?
