Problem With Image Display in Workspace

I am running Photoshop 26.2 on a 2024 MacBook Pro (M4 Max Chip) with macOS Sequoia 15.2.

I have my workspace customized such that all the panels and the toolbar are on the right hand side of the screen.

For some reason when I open an image file it is displaying in the entire workspace with the right-hand portion of the image hidden behind the toolbar and panels. This problem just started (I probably did something).

How can I get back to where a newly opened image file displays only in the available workspace instead of the entire workspace?

My understanding is that the workspace configuration in place at the time you close Photoshop is saved.

Yes, I ca. Here are screenshots of the right-hand side of the workspace both without and with an image file opened. You can see how the image is partially obscured by the panels and toolbar.
