Problem with images.

I am having problems with the recent upgrade to Photoshop. I have been using Photoshop for years. Recently I am having problem with my images. When I download them to my iMac I receive the following message on some (Could not open IMG___ because of a problem parsing the JPEG data). I get this message if I download from my Canon camera, or my iPad or iPhone. How can I resolve this problem?

Ignore the spammy reply. Don't reinstall Photoshop, that's a waste of time on the Mac.

When you say "download", please walk us through the process. How are you getting files from one device to your computer?

Do these files open in Apple Preview? Or Apple Photos? What about Adobe Bridge, can Bridge display them?

Also try creating a new JPEG file in Preview and opening it in Photoshop. Does that work? If you make a screen capture (Command-Shift-3) that is in PNG format, can Photoshop open that file?

Finally, please post your system Info. Help->System Info menu in Photoshop and paste it here.
