Problem with Keywords and External Drives

Hi! I'm finding that when I attach one of my external drives I have lost the connection to all the images in the Collections I've saved. It seems like the keywords are not accessible unless I open each individual folder again. Is there a way to keep keywords associated with Collections on external drives? Thanks for any help!

Make sure to assign a fixed drive letter to the external drive.

with what app have you lost connection? lightroom? lightroom classic? something else?

When you post a question you always need to tell the Adobe program you are using
There are MANY programs in a full subscription, plus other non-subscription programs
