Problem with some photo in photoshop 2026

Question

Hi, I opened some photos in Photoshop 27.0 and 27.1 on a 27" 2020 iMac with Mac OS 26.1 (25B78) and got a strange, negative result, see image. This is not the first time this has happened, and the same file with another version of Photoshop or another photo editor like Affinity or Preview opens the image perfectly. Anyone have any ideas? I have already tried removing and reinstalling the app.

p.s. Also the black box on the bottom of this picture is an error generated by photoshop because I start working the picture from the bad photo.problem.jpg

Are your images from Facebook? Apparently they load into Ps with those lines and color distortion. This thread discusses it and offer some workarounds:
