Question

Prompt to Edit completely replaces photo

I opened a closeup photo of someone with a line of text over it. I selected image, said “remove text, keep image the same” (which has worked many times before) and it replaced the entire image with a landscape, then it replaced it with an eagle. I used nano banana 2.5/3/3.1 on beta and normal versions latest updates. Not looking to use the remove tool, or the firefly tool either. Sometimes the image will be a mag cover and I need to remove text over the entire image to clean it up.

    Hello @dans20216875

Sorry for the late reply. I tried using the image you’ve shared and other sample images with Gemini 3.1 (Nano Banana 2), but couldn't reproduce the problem. Could you please check if you’re still having trouble with this and share a sample file, prompt, and screenshots of the issue so we can look into it with the team?

Note: Google is deprecating Gemini 2.5 (with Nano Banana) starting October 2, 2026. Photoshop will begin removing this model support on September 10, with the September 2026 build (v27.11) and later versions. For more information, refer to Generative AI model retirement.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
