PS 26.1 Slow Response in Selective Color Adjustment Layer

Since installing PS 26.1, the sliders in the Selective Color Adjustment are no long smooth acting. They "jerk" from position to position, and the screen does not update immediately.

Thank you D Fosse. It seems the behavior has returned to normal. Not sure whether it was because I reset the preferences or not, but it could have been.

With any kind of inexplicable and odd behavior, the first troubleshooting step is to reset preferences.

 

The preferences file contains the entire app configuration, not just your own user settings. It is prone to corruption because it is rewritten on every application exit. An irregular shutdown can corrupt them. Errors accumulate.

 

Resetting preferences returns the application to clean, out-of-the-box factory state. Remember to save out actions, brushes etc.
