    The Dosplay driver you have installed is 7 years old. Try a newer one.

    Thanks guys. After much fighting with my computer today I decided to bite the bullet and ordered a new i7 powered desktop with more ram and a better graphics card. Should arrive this week.  Thanks for all your help and patience.

    The best way to update your ATI's drivers is to visit ATi for updates. Use of Windows Update is not recommended.

    The links are included and if your are lucky, your card can be auto-detected and the proper drivers are then offered for download.

    Windows OS

    1. Click Start.

    2. On the Start menu, click Run.

    3. In the Open box, type "dxdiag" (without the quotation marks), and then click OK.

    4. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens. Click the Display tab.

    5. On the Display tab, information about your graphics card is shown in the Device section. You can see the name of your card, as well as how much video memory it has.

    Once you know the kind of graphics card you have, visit the manufacturer's website to download the latest driver. Here are links for downloading drivers from the most common graphics card manufacturers:

    * NVIDIA: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

    * AMD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

    * Intel: http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/

    A simple and fun way to get the Sniffer to run:

    Open the Photoshop 2017 directory and scroll down until you see the Sniffer utility.

    Open the Command window as you did before.

    Now drag and drop the Sniffer icon into the Command window and Command will create the proper line command. No more typos tripping you up.

    Be sure Command Prompt is active by clicking on its' Title bar and press Enter.

    2009...Don't know how I missed that. I guess Windows Update was not doing the job.
