I have a trial version of Adobe Plan Lr+Ps with a monthly payment and an annual commitment. I read somewhere that the desktop version of Ps only works 99 days a year without an internet connection. Is this true and is this my case? If so, I would cancel the subscription during the trial period. Thanks for the answer.

The software can be used offline. It will attempt to validate your license every 5 to 30 days (depending on the product term) , which requires an online connection. There is a 'grace' period if it cannot connect and validate which again varies by monthly or annual plan. You can read more here:
