Psd layers do not consistently collapse

Hello, I am beginning to think this is a bug for MAC users, of which I am one. I have tried media caching files, resetting Psd and updating preferences. None of which work. I cannot find a solution or answer regarding why some of the assets in my project properly collapse in the group folder, and others do not. This is frustrating and I have been trying to solve for one month. I have attached three images to show the problem: "A" group folder does not collapse properly, "b" Group folder opens properly, "C" same group folder collapses properly.  I would really appreciate some help on this. I am a student, trying to put together my portfolio, my account expires in a couple of days and I need this to market myself. Thank you, in advance, to anyone who can help.

In the first image "Group does not collapse properly_A.png", nothing appears wrong. If you expected the text layers below Group 1 to collapse into Group 1, then the problem is that the text layers are not part of the group, they are outside and below (not inside) the group in the layer stack. Those text layers are probably at the top level of the Layers list, not inside a group.

One way to see this is by noticing how far the layers are indented in the list. In the image "Group opens properly_b.png", the layers in the group are indented much more (because they are actually inside the Background Colors group) than the text layers shown in the image "Group does not collapse properly_A.png" (because those are below, not inside, Group 1).

You could also tie layers to groups by color coding the group.  Lays inside the group would take on the same colour.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
