Puppet Warp is Cropping Parts of Layer

I am currrently trying to use the puppet warp tool to reposition a subject's arm and leg. Once I apply the puppet warp to the layer, it cuts off the subject's fingers and foot. I believe I am using the tool correctly. I made the layer a smart layer and applied about 6 pins. My image resolution is 24x32 at 300 dpi. Any ideas why this is happening?

It's not a "before and after". It's a wide shot and a closeup of the same image. The fingers are cutoff (as seen in the closeup). The tool actually cuts off her rear heel on one of her feet as well, but I did not provide a zoomed image of that.
