Question

Quick key and menu selection to resize image just activates hand tool

Using either quick keys or menu selection to resize an image just activates the hand tool. No size settings window appears or anything - just switches to the hand tool and the little square cursor. Plugged my keyboard in, blew off my mouse, and restarted my machine (and programs). Same thing. Anyone have any ideas what's going on? Basically can't do my work right now 🤦‍♂

Do you mean the XenceLabs Quick Keys?

Or do you mean Shortcut keys? (Cmd Opt i)

I think you are saying that you are unable to resize your image. Is that right?

You can't even access Image size from the menu?

Are you also saying that any actiuon causes the Hand (pan) tool icon to appear?

Is this happening with multiple image documents?

I'm struggling with this one, and I think I can't be understanding  what is happening with your situation. If you can clear it up with more information, that would be appreciated.

When did this start? Are you talking about option-command-I and Image>Image size?

De rigueur questions: OS and Ps versions?

I recall recent Community posts that describe rogue hand tool selection. I shall search, back shortly...

Back. I didn't find anything when searching here for any combination of Hand tool and image and selection.

Consider resetting preferences.

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. Most recent OS and PS as of today (not by my machine right now). BUT - walked away for 10 minutes and restarted PS (again) and it worked again. Twilight zone.
