My computer is a DELL Laptop for which I already increased RAM from 8Go to 16Go. I can still go up to 32 Go but I think I'm going to buy a desktop dedicated to my digital painting activities (mainly with PS). It's easier to fix and upgrade if necessary.

Though, for the moment, the laptop does the job without a problem. I xas just wondering about this PS available RAM versus my 16Go that are effectively installed...

It lookslike that GPU card, the nVidia 1050i is a separate GPU. Is that right? Is your computer a desktop, not a laptop? In that case, the 4GB memory showing is on the card and will not require memory from the computer 16GB ram.

If the computer is a desktop, you can easily add more ram, probably up to 64GB.

You don't mention your computer specifics, especially GPU system. It may be that your computer has Intel shared/integrated graphics that is using 4GB for the GPU. I have a Lenovo laptop that is that way.

@ERIC36106262tkqo That means your other services - OS, other apps, etc are currently using 4 GB of RAM. It's not that Photoshop is allowing that much for other services, its what is available if PS needs it.
