RBG, Lighten Blend Mode & BG Color

This is RBG color with Lighten Blend Mode. It disappeared with white color BG but it is visible with black color BG. What is the reason? Video also uploaded.

    Lighten blend mode describes how the layer interacts with the layer(s) below. Lighten takes the lightest value, for each channel, between the layer and the layer(s) below. If the layer below is white, that lightest value is in the layer below so it stays white.
