Recent files missing from Home screen after updating to 25.11

Just updated to 25.11 and all of my recent files have been wiped. There seems to be no option of Show Recent Files within the preferences either. Any ideas how to solve?

Also how many recent files you want to be shown (up to 100) is at the bottom of the Preferences > File Handling dialog.

Keep in mind this is for both the Home Screen and Files > Recent menu options.

The recent files list are actually "pointers". If the file it points to is moved or deleted, the pointer will indicate that and

remove the filename from the "Recents" list.

Yeah I've still got that set to the number I had it on pre update, thought it may have changed to 0 but no, just don't get why it wiped them. Not the end of the world but not ideal at the same time

I wouldn't know why either. I'm on MacOS and I set all upgrades to manual and to keep my settings. My recents were not touched. First I've heard of this. Well I'm glad it didn't lose your custom presets. You might try setting Recents to 100 temporarily because it can "remember" earlier files.

There are no management features for recent files (apart from the menu option to clear all recents). You need to open images to populate the menu/home screen.

Yeah I had it populated before but the update cleared them all for some reason, never happened to me before when updating. There used to be a Show Recent Files checkbox in preferences no?
