The Blue Lightning TV  YouTube channel is an exzcellent resource for Photoshop beginners.

Concentrate on learning those aspects that you will use the most, and for the areas you most enjoy.  That might be improving your photographs.  Illustration and digital art.

Join our regular Something For The Weekend threads and upload your creations.  A starter image is provided every second week, and we are invited to make of it what you will.  This is an excellent learning resource because you'll have ideas and need to work out how to make them happen. Dozens of Photoshop experts are on hand to answer your questions, and because it is so much fun, you'll advance faster than you imagine.  This is the current SFTW thread.
