Recovery of InDesign Documents on a Different Laptop

I had my old laptop stolen, and while I had most of the files backed up on a harddrive, I would love to recover my accidentally-not-backed-up portfolio as lots of hours were spent putting this together 😞

I have downloaded the Adobe apps I use on this new laptop. Fresco and Lightroom files were auto saved, so I could re-download them on this laptop. However, I have opened InDesign and there are not any files that I had previously had on my old laptop. My portfolio was made using InDesign, and I would be so happy to get it back, if at all possible.

If anyone could help or make a suggestion I would be most appreciative,

Madison 🙂

Maybe you should post this on the Indesign Forum.

@Madison5E5D if you saved your files to the hard drive and not to the Cloud, chances are recovering these files are slim to none. As you said: 'love to recover my accidentally-not-backed-up portfolio', the only way I can see it in recovery if you had published your site online, and at least you have that to work off from it.
