refining edge not working

why is refining edge not working here when trying to use this tool

It looks like the issue could be due to a few reasons: the layer might not be selected properly, the image could be in the wrong mode (like Bitmap instead of RGB), or the selection isn’t active when opening Refine Edge. Make sure your layer is unlocked, the selection is active, and the image is in RGB mode. That usually fixes it.
