Remove Tool Creating unwanted patch on the edges

I am using Photoshop v26.7.0 

Mac os 15.4
While using the remove tool on an empty layer, it is creating an unwanted patch on the edges of the image. HOW TO FIX IT?  And it is happening every time I use the remove tool. It is frustrating every time I need to select that area, then delete it and continue working. And also, the hue and saturation layer has a bug; creating a new hue layer doesn't show the properties, so it needs to restart always when this happens or reset the pref.

    Can confirm. 

    Using the remove tool on a layer with transparency, for example just an isolated image with the rest of the layer transparent, strange things happen around the edges of that image when the remove tool is used.

      Hi @AjinkyaPatil Let’s tackle one issue at a time so we can get to the bottom of it together.

      Could you walk me through exactly how you're using the Remove Tool? Just a heads-up—it won’t work on a transparent layer, so when you say you're using it on an “empty layer,” could you clarify what you mean?

      If possible, a screen recording showing your steps and all the visible panels in Photoshop would be super helpful—that way we can better understand what’s going on and guide you more effectively.

        Hi @AjinkyaPatil! Thanks so much for sharing the video. I see what you’re referring to now. It’s definitely a bit odd, and I haven’t been able to reproduce the issue on my end so far. Is this happening with every file, or just specific ones?

         

        One thing that comes to mind is that a third-party plugin might be interfering with Photoshop. Could you try closing the app and reopening it while holding down Shift? That will prompt Photoshop to launch without any third-party plugins. Once it’s open, try using the Remove tool and see if the behavior changes.

         

        If that doesn’t help, we’d love to take a closer look. Could you please share your System Info? You can find it in Photoshop under Help > System Info. Just copy the info into a text file and attach it here, or share it via Google Drive, WeTransfer, or any file-sharing platform you prefer.
