remove tool doesn't work

The remove tool is not working in PS 27.6.0. I get the message “required components are being downloaded check back later”. I’ve gone to the Creative Cloud app and it shows the components are installed, I’ve deleted PS and reinstalled it, rebuilt the preference files, restarted my M1 iMac running OS 26.4.1, checked settings to use the more stable options, but nothing helps, the same message keeps popping up every time I try to click on the remove tool icon.

Hi @Sameer K  thanks for taking the time to respond. After going through several options I finally figured out that LRC was opening an earlier version of PS even though the newest version was the only version on my iMac. I rebuilt the LRC preference files and that corrected the issue.

Hey, @ncleven. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out.

Just to be sure, ensure Photoshop has the required permissions on the macOS: https://adobe.ly/43zB3AJ

Let us know how it goes. Thanks!
