Remove tool hangs for several seconds in PS 25

I use the remove tool a fair amount for small removals and with PS 25 it will occasionally hang for several seconds after drawing a selection with it. This is prior to the removal being processed (I have remove after each stroke turned off)

 

Can't do anything else in PS - the cursor is stuck. After 15-20 seconds it will recover and everything works as it should.

After more testing I've found it will be stuck until I switch focus away from Photoshop and then return to the program. This seems to happen every 10-15 uses of the remove tool.

    @TheCraigist81 a couple of things - 1. update your GPU drivers they are 6 mo+ out of date. Also make sure you are using the Studio versions and not Gaming.

    2. You have an Intel intergrated GPU that is underperfoming and could be conflicting/boat anchor. Here's how to resolve/optimize that

      Hi @TheCraigist81 it could be a matter of resources. Go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

      This helped, it still does it occasionally though. Didn't have an issue before updating to PS 25.0

      Hi @TheCraigist81 go to Preferences (settings)/Image Processing and change the Remove Tool to "More Stable"
