Remove Tool - LrC vs Photoshop (LrC does a better job)

I’m attaching a video comparing the Remove Tool results in LrC vs Photoshop. The image is of a photo of a friends daughter playing the viola. The intent is to remove as much as possible the strobe reflection and worn spots on the wood grain.

The first part shows rhetorical results in LrC - which does a decent job.

The second shows the results from going from Capture One (my main RAW editor/catalog) to Photoshop. It takes several passes of remove tool to get close to what LrC does. The Remove tool in PS used to do a better job. Am I missing something?

FYI - I did duplicate the layer in PS, turn it into a Smart Object and use the Remove tool in Camera RAW. Same results as what LrC produced.

Thoughts?
