Remove tool not working

I am using both Photoshop 26 and 26.2 Beta...

In 26 the remove tool covers an area in pink higlight but does nothing. In Beta 26.2 it does work to remove the higlighted area but is frequently causing the program to crash.

I've finally found the library and reset the settings - seems to have worked. Many thanks!

Hello, I've just tried all the steps mentioned before and still have error message when trying to use the "Remove Tool" (the pink one): "Could not complete...". I am using Photoshop 26.2 on Windows 11. I have made a clean installation just before buying Photoshop and Lighthroom, a few days before.

Hello again, as nobody answer me about my issue, I thought that I must have made a mistake regarding the procedure of asking something in this "community". That was my first message and I don't have any any idea on how things must be done. Is there any guidelines that I can use ? Is there anyone kind enough to put me in the right direction ?
