remove tool photoshop desktop v. 27.6 mac does’t work anymore

i wonder why remove tool worked without problems with macOS 13.7.8, but when, a few days ago, i updated the desktop app to 27.6 version, the same tool results unavailable because… macOS 14 is requested.
A joke inexplicable for me.
Is this a bug or a way to make me spend money that i don’t have to buy a new mac?

In reality, your popup message using Apple Translate: “You must have macOS 14 or later to use the tool.” So, no, you are not being requested to be running Mac Os 14.

The tool runs under Sonoma (14), Sequoia (15) or Tahoe (26). Is there a chance you answered the prompt to keep Ventura (13) during installation? You may need to run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Other community members may (dis)agree.

By the way, did you download Ps from Creative Cloud?

Hi, as usual i downloaded Ps from CC. I run Ventura 13.7.8. Until ten days ago, he remove tool worked perfectly  with previous Ps version 27.5, but now works just one of the two option of the tool “J”, the Spot Healing Brush Tool. It seems very strange to me, since CC says that both the remove components are installed and my device is compatible with the app. So I think the is a bug in this Ps version, that is not a major update. And by the way i think that you misunderstood the translation done by apple translate.

    Tks for you reply, e.

Hey, @enricaraviola. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more information to help you figure this out. Please share the system information from Photoshop Help > System Info > Copy and paste it into a text document > Upload and attach it here.

Please ensure there are no stale preferences in your Photoshop. You can go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to back it up. (https://adobe.ly/3u7u84j)

This method is more effective compared to the in-app Reset Preferences at quit method.

macOS: Hold down the Option key in the Finder when using the Go menu. The library will appear below the current user's home directory.

Library > Preferences > Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2025 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2025.old)

This will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a new installation.

Let me know if it helps. Thanks!
