Remove tool was working great last week, I've come to use it today and it's extremely slow! It's taking ages to load on removing the littlest things on an image, for example a little bit of dust on a bottle. Please help. I have uninstalled and reinstalled adobe photoshop. Everything is up to date, Photoshop, MacBook. Now what do I do??

Have you noticed this option in the Options bar?

This could make a lot of difference.  If it is a tiny dust spot, then I would expect local processing would be faster.  I don’t know how big an area is uploaded to the server if it decides to work that way.  Try forcing both options and seeing if that changes things.  I tend to have mine set to Auto, but now I think about it, my remove tool takes much longer than the Healing Brush, so I might my own advice.  Thank you for the help. :-)

Last week it was all set on auto with no problems but yesterday when I tried to edit some work it was running super slow, just the remove tool. I’ve now changed everything to Generative AI off. Would you try having it on Auto and generative AI processing to device?? Thank you :)
