removing backgrounds from graphics with watercolor backgrounds
Windows 11
Photoshop subscription

Hello Community
How can I optimally crop/remove backgrounds from graphics with watercolor backgrounds and which methods are most effective for this, especially since there are sometimes very bright areas in the graphic?
Is there anything to be found on Youtube? I can only find tutorials for cropping hair, removing backgrounds

Hey, @AYSUKA. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you get started with this. There are multiple ways to make precise selections; I'll share a fast way that I rely on, and our experts may have a better method.

You can open this image in Photoshop > go to Select menu > Select & Mask (ALT+CTRL+R) > Use 'Select Subject' in the Cloud mode & then click on Refine Hair.

You might have to refine the selection further, but this should give you a head start. Once the selection is made, you can invert it (CTRL+SHIFT+ I) and press delete to clear the background, or simply apply a layer mask to hide the background.

You can also use AI to remove backgrounds: https://adobe.ly/3CZEQhH

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks!
