Removing guidelines

I'm trying to create some canvas art from Printful, but I cannot seem to get rid of the Printful guidelines in Photoshop.

They said to turn off the guides by using the eye icon tool, but no matter what I do it can't be done.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

This is Printful's Canvas info:

I clicked on the circled eye icon then save it as a png file to my desktop, and the finished image shows up with no background color; I wanted to keep the black background.
Could I be putting in the background the wrong way? I used the paint bucket tool to put the black background in.

If you have used the Paint bucket tool with the instructions layer selected, then you haven't put a background in - you have filled the space around the instructions with black.

The normal way to make a black background is to place an empty layer at the bottom of the layers stack (you can drag layers up and down in the layers panel) and fill it with Black.

    Hi

Depending on the format , the guides could be :

    a. Guides - in which case use menu View >Show >Guides

    b. Marks on a separate layer - in which case go to the relevant layer and click on the eye symbol to turn it off.

If that does not help you , please show a full screenshot - including the layers panel

    Hello Dave,
Thanks for your reply. Now when I turn off the eye icon next to instructions, it does remove the guidelines, but at the same time it also removes the black background.

Those appear to be integrated into the Instructions layer.

Click on that layer's eye icon to turn them off
