REQUEST: Reduce no. of clicks to save a copy

Hi There,

Is there a way to have the 'Save as' options back the way they were?

Say you don't want to import 2GB–15GB Photoshop files into InDesign or Illustrator, there's now a fiddly menu, a help button and more clicks?

We're professionals, do you have to keep hiding options, features and control? It just creates more clicks - it's a never-ending trend.

Cheers

This was forced by a change in Apple's API. Adobe came up with a fix in 22.4. You can revert to the previous behavior in

Preferences > File Handling > File Saving Options > Enable Legacy Save As

Or you can choose File > Save a Copy.

@csscms – I have marked the post from @jane-e as the correct answer (I couldn't do so, but can now do so, sigh).
