Question

Restore Gradients

The new photoshop put the gradients in folders. I created a new folder and transfered many of the gradients to that folder. Now I want to restore the gradients to the default way photoshop had them organized. How do I do that.

I have opened the G and could not see restore as Adobe said to do. I went to Preferences>tools and clicked the gradient tool and clicked restore but that did not work.

New undesired colored gradients appeared in the Basic folder, in Ps, replacing the original black and white and empty ones.

I tried to 'Reset Tool' but no result. I deleted all the gradients as explained here, and then tried 'Append default gradients', but the undesired gradients are all there.

I also uninstalled and installed again Ps, but still there.

What else to try?

Thank you.

UPDATE:

I have changed document, starting again from the same raw file - deleting all the work done in Ps in the Tif file - and now when in Ps the gradients are back to normal.

Didnt understand what happened, but happy the peroblem was solved. Any insight?

In the Gradients panel, select all the gradients, and drag them to the trash. Then via the Gradients panel menu, click Append Default Gradients.

If you've added and of your own gradients, be sure to save them first.
