Rosetta Modul für M2 Cip

Hallo Ihr, ich dachte das ich nie wieder etwas von Rosetta höre, nachdem ich das Adobe Abo gebucht habe. Aber heute habe ich meinen ersten Mac mit M2 Chip in Betrieb genommen incl. der Migration aus meinem alten Intel Mac. Auch alle Adobe Produkte wurden so migriert. Und da! Beim ersten öffenen war sie wieder! Rosetta 🙂 Meine Frage? Bietet Adobe auch alle Produkte extra für MS Cips an bzw. gibt es eine Software für Intel und eine für M2? Weil wenn ja würde ich natürlich lieber die "saubere" M2 Version haben und nicht die von einem extra Tool übersetzte Version. Danke für eure Hilfe und grüße Michael Heindl

If you migrated using the Apple migration tool, it just moves your programs and files from one computer to another. Most times it is recommend to not use that tool and just to install fresh as users over time have seen issues arise from the migration.

To answer your question, the apple migration tool cannot search the internet for Mac Silicon versions of apps. So if an Apple Silicon version of software is released you will need to go get that from the vendor. As others have mentioned most Adobe tools are universal. But it may be worth going through your Mac and looking into other vendors and see whether they have an Apple silicon version of your application to install in place of an older intel or universal app.

Hallo und danke für die guten Antworten. Das Adobe Produkt Illustrator sagte mir beim öffnen: "Wenn du die volle Performance willst installiere die M2 Version". Das war eindeutig. Habe nun alle Adobe Produkte deinstalliert und dann neu installiert. Was ich da jetzt nicht verstehe ist in der Festplattenübersicht Photoshop als "Andere" angezeigt wird und im Aktivitätsmonitor "Apple" (siehe Anhang). Was hat das zu bedeuten?

Was mir auch etwas zu denken gibt ist die Bemerkung von Ben M. Ist es empfehlenswert alle Intel Software durch die entsprechende M2 Software auszutauschen? Weil einiges andere auf meinen neuen M2 Mac ist noch Intel basiert (siehe Anhang). Danke für eure Hilfe.

Hello and thank you for the good answers. When I opened the Adobe product Illustrator, it told me: "If you want full performance, install the M2 version." That was clear. I have now uninstalled all Adobe products and then reinstalled them. What I don't understand is that Photoshop is shown as "Other" in the hard drive overview and "Apple" in the activity monitor (see attachment). What does that mean?

What also gives me something to think about is Ben M.'s comment. Is it advisable to replace all Intel software with the corresponding M2 software? Because some other things on my new M2 Mac are still Intel-based (see attachment). Thank you for your help.

Please check the Application kind in "System Information."

Activity Monitor is currently useful for showing "Apple (Silicon) or Intel".

I don't think there is an M2 optimized version.

Many Adobe software programs are only available as universal apps and do not offer Apple Silicon-only versions.

Photoshop may also require Rosetta.

Are any of the Adobe applications Intel only?

Go to Apple>About This Mac>More Info>System Report>Software>Applications and in the Kind column it will say.

Do you have any third party plugins/filter that need Rosetta to run?

Mmmmh...? No idea. Not that i know. Only the pure raw Photoshop. Thanks 🙂 The same is with all other Adobe protucts. It works good but my question is like top 🙂
