Rotate object system requirements

I don’t think the rotate object feature is working correctly on my pc. I have Intel Arc graphics, and here’s an example of the results I’m getting when I test this with some stock images.

As you can see, after it processes the image to prepare for rotation, I just get a jumbled mess. I’ve tried this with a couple of different images and get the same type of result no matter what. I also made sure the images are 8 bit RGB as I saw those being requirements for the feature.

I’m just wondering if this is a problem with my machine or an actual bug in the software.

@FFSB - You’re working on a ARM-based Windows machine. Similar to the Remove Tool not being available for ARM devices, there could be a underlying gap in compatibility here. I am checking in with the team.

@jamie_0983 - As per the System info, there could be two points of failure.

Your machine only has an intergrated Intel HD Graphics adapter which may not be sufficient for the current and modern features. Please update the GPU drivers from Intel’s official website, or check if a discrete/dedicated GPU can be added to the machine.
A group of our user report failures across Remove Tool, & Select Subject if their Windows username contains non-ASCII / Unicode characters, such as yours C:\Users\JGILLH~1\

When you have a moment, please share your system info. You can find this by going to Help > System Info. Copy and paste everything into a text file and attach it to your response.

It would also help if you could include step by step instructions on how we can reproduce the issue on our end.

Here is the text file. To replicate the issue, the only information I can give is to follow the specific recommended steps from any tutorial for using the “rotate object” feature. Because when it stopped working for me, I tried searching Adobe and other tutorials for how to use the feature. I tried masking the object and rotating the masked object. I tried rotating a cut-out smart object. I tried rasterizing the object first. And then I tried the following the in-app tutorial with the pink purse and the green background to see if my object was the problem, but I had the same issue even with the Photoshop file/assets that are curated specifically to show off the feature.

I’m having the exact same issue even when I try using the feature in the “What’s New in Photoshop” tutorial. I have an Intel graphics card and a relatively new machine.

Glad it’s not just me! I just got this computer a few months ago, and I don’t normally have any issues with GPU powered features in any Adobe software, so this is kind of a head scratcher.

After rotating object, the preview looks normal. However after pressing done there are horizontal rainbow streaks that obscure the whole image. This also happens in the new feature tutorial on rotating objects. This did not happen in previous beta photoshop version of rotate object.
