Where do I find the ruler tool in Photoshop for iPad? I have tried everything and cannot find it. I need to measure and image on the canvas.

The ruler does not exist (yet) in Photoshop for iPad. You can comment and upvote in this thread:

Unfortunately, Photoshop for iPad doesn't have the Ruler tool yet. As a workaround, you can use a selection to check the dimensions of an area, which is enough for basic measurements.

As far as I know, the Photoshop version for iPad doesn't include all of the tools that are available in the desktop version, and the Ruler tool is one of the features that isn't currently available.

If you only need to check dimensions or alignment, you could try enabling guides, grids, or using the Transform panel as a workaround. Otherwise, for precise measurements, you'll likely need to open the file in the desktop version of Photoshop until this feature is added to the iPad app. Hopefully Adobe expands the iPad toolset in future updates.

In addition to not having the ruler, Photoshop for iPad does not have guides, grids, or panels. It does have some transform controls.

It's in the same slot as the Eyedropper.

The only things that pop up in the eye dropper tool is a circle is color in it , a box with a number in it and 3 dots. When you click on the 3 dot button it brings up sample layer All layers, current layer current and below. I don't see anything for a ruler.

This is not exactly a ruler, but if you use a selection tool, you can get the dimensions of the selected area under layer properties.
