running current photoshop and CANNOT get rid of the new interface. I check "use legacy interface" and nothing happens....why not

Running an iMac with Sequoia 15.7.3 and Photoshop 27.9.1. I have no use for the new New Document splash screen. In the past, clicking the “use Legacy New Document” option worked….now it does not...why not????

Maybe what your seeing is the Home Screen.

In Photoshop go to Photoshop 2026>Settings>General and uncheck Auto show the Home Screen.
