Save default quality 12.

I recently upgraded to an M3 chip Mac and with it, my version of CC Photoshop 2025 changed. Previously, when I would saved .jpgs, quality defaulted to 12. Now it's stuck on 8, and no matter how many times I change it to 12, it doesn't default to 12, it reverts back to 8. This is supposed ot be sticky based on your last save option, but that doesn't seem to be true. Any suggestions?

Have you tried resetting Photoshop preferences?

Yes, sounds like something is not updating.  I wonder if the OP has other settings changes that won't stick?  There used to be occasional permissions issues with Mac systems way back.

This Help page is two years old.  Scroll down or search for Troubleshoot User Permissions.  My gut is that was fixed years ago, but just in case.

Thanks for the input! Resetting my preferences seems to have fixed it.
