Question

Saving files

Earlier I did like that:
I opened a NEF file, edited it and:
Pressed Ctrl-Shift

and then it suggested  to save as a jpg file.
Now it has begun to suggest to save as a PSD file, no matter what I do.
So every time I have to change it to a jpg file.
How can I make it suggest to save as a jpg-file again - every time!

It's because ACR used to open in 8 bit depth by default. Now, much more sensibly, it opens in 16 bit depth.

The jpeg file format specification doesn't support 16 bit depth. So jpeg is not an option unless you convert or change ACR's workflow options.

How do I do that?

Could it be because I have got a newer version of PS?
