Question

Saving files

I just updated to Photoshop 2024. Two questions. The files will not open when I save them from bridge to a separate file. It defaults back to bridge and then it opens.

When I try to save the file, it says JPEG, but when I go to save it, it says PSD and there's no option to save as a JPEG. Does anybody have this problem?

Which command are you using to save the file? If you are trying to save a layered file using the Save command, it will default to PSD because JPG does not support layers. Try using Save a Copy instead, or click on the Save a Copy button.

I'm unclear about what's happening. Are you using Export from Bridge to save or convert files, and then you can't open them in Photoshop?
