Screen flickering/stretching images when tab cycling

Hi,

Whenever we have more than 1 image open and want to cycle through the open images/tabs it shows a short flicker/ghost of previous image stretch on the screen. This is very annoying to the eyes and has been a persistent issue since PS 24.

I know that we can choose to open documents as tabs and the issue will not appear, but one should be able to use PS with floating images (as working perfectly for 10+ years before).

This is happening on all of our Mac M1's and was also happening on our Mac Pro Intel machines (which we don't have anymore).

I have provided a video showing what it looks like with and without the images as tabs.

Hopefully someone has a fix for this!

Setup:

Mac Studio M1 Max

Ventura 13.5.2

Photoshop 25.0.0

Hi @wt_imagework Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”.

Hey,

So, this has been an issue for me and my team for a good while now. We were hoping it would be fixed with updates, but the problem is not going away. This has been going on ever since PS version 24.

Whenever we have multiple images open at the same time and we ctrl + tab between them to cycle through they go black and we have to "shake" the image to make it appear again. This makes one of the workflows we have of comparing images up against eachother so much harder and time consuming.

Does anybody have a fix/solution to this issue? Anybody else experiencing it?

We are all on:

Mac Studio M1 Max

Ventura 13.5.2

Photoshop 25.0.0
