Search not working in my Adobe app

Hi, I’m using Adobe Photoshop and I’m having an issue with the search function.

When I try to use the search, it doesn’t return any results (it just stays blank).

Details:

  • App: Adobe Photoshop 2024

  • Version: 25.7

  • Operating System: Windows 11 Pro (64-bit)

  • Device: Dell XPS 15, Intel i7, 16GB RAM

What I’ve tried so far:

  1. Restarted Photoshop and my computer

  2. Signed out and back into Creative Cloud

  3. Reset Photoshop preferences

  4. Cleared Creative Cloud cache

  5. Checked for the latest updates (Photoshop and Creative Cloud)

But the search is still not working.

Could anyone help me troubleshoot this issue, or let me know if there’s a workaround?

This issue is often caused by corrupted Photoshop preferences. You mentioned you reset them, but make sure to do a manual reset:

  • Close Photoshop

  • Hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Option + Shift (Mac) while launching Photoshop

  • Accept the prompt to delete the current settings

This usually fixes search-related issues.
